This Can Am Defender 8" bed cover is constructed of .090 thick aluminum. All of the seams have been tig welded to add additional strength and seamless construction. 

The upper 4" high rack is made from 3/4" x 1/8" wall aluminum tubing and tig welded to the top of the cover and lid. The lid seals tightly to the outer structure utilizing rubber bulb seal to make for a water and dust free seal. The cover sits and fastens to the rim of the bed utilizing our LinQ hold downs and seals to the bed rim with rubber bulb seal. We provide seals for the the bottom and sides of the bed so when the tailgate is in the closed position the gaps between the tailgate and bed are sealed up. We powder coat all of the components our standard black jack color. 

We do offer the option for you to choose a color and can powder coat the main box 1 color and the lid another for an additional cost. you can also upgrade your cover to include Roto Pax gas can mounting brackets and lockable latch.
